Inter Milan strikers Lautaro Martinez and Marcus Thuram were both on the scoresheet in the same match for just the third time in 2025 against Torino.

The two strikers get the best out of each other. And when both are in form, they can seem virtually impossible to stop from scoring.

The reality, however, is that Martinez and Thuram have not often been firing at the same time in 2025.

Thuram in particular has seen his form dip for much of the calendar year. Nagging physical problems have played a role in this sense.

Meanwhile, Martinez has also dealt with his share of fitness problems that have restricted his impact.

Therefore, Inter’s attack has lacked some of the consistency that it had when both starting strikers were at their best.

Prior to Inter’s win over Torino on opening day, the last match in which both Martinez and Thuram were on the scoresheet for Inter was a Champions League win over Feyenoord in March.

Apart from that, the only other match in which both Martinez and Thuram since the turn of the year was a 3-1 Serie A win over Empoli in January.

However, the fact that the two strikers both found the back of the net against Torino is hugely encouraging.
