Andrew Nestor is reportedly set to leave his role at The Hawthorns

It has been widely reported that West Bromwich Albion are set to part ways with club president and sporting director, Andrew Nestor, with the Baggies' position in the Championship now looking even more precarious.
The Baggies have endured a dismal 2025/26 season thus far, with their poor run of form in recent weeks and months only continuing under the newly-appointed Eric Ramsay.
The 34-year-old, who had been heavily linked with the vacancy in this part of the West Midlands prior to the eventual appointment of his predecessor, Ryan Mason, is now four games into his tenure at The Hawthorns, and he is still yet to see his side pick up three points for the first time since December 29th.
Albion had lost the former Minnesota United head coach's first two games in B71 against Middlesbrough and Norwich City by an aggregate scoreline of 8-2, before also taking just one point from a subsequent six available on their travels against Derby County and Portsmouth.
The Black Country side's term reached a whole new nadir on Saturday afternoon against their relegation rivals at Fratton Park, though, as they were comfortably defeated 3-0 by John Mousinho's men through goals from Conor Chaplin, Millenic Alli and Ebou Adams.
West Brom subsequently dropped below Pompey in the table, as they now sit 21st, having accumulated 32 points from their 30 matches so far this season, and they could fall into the bottom three on goal difference on Tuesday night if Blackburn Rovers are to defeat Sheffield Wednesday in a rearranged fixture.
It has since emerged that Nestor is set to leave the club amid friction with the club's board, Bilkul Football WBA, over a handful of decisions.
However, Football League World's West Brom fan pundit, Callum Burgess, believes it is the right outcome for all parties as the club look to stave off a first fall into the third tier since 1993.

It was first reported by John Percy of the Telegraph that Nestor's conflict with other board members came in relation to the club's overall strategy.
The 48-year-old was appointed as sporting director in B71 in the summer of 2024, ahead of Shilen Patel's first full season as chairman, before also being instilled as 'president' in September 2025.
As such, Nestor has overseen the appointment of three permanent head coaches since Carlos Corberan's exit in December 2024, as well as a major overhaul of the playing squad last summer, with both Torbjorn Heggem and Tom Fellows sold for eight-figure sums in order to balance the club's financial books.
Despite Percy's report claiming that Nestor raised serious concerns over Albion's current vision, which includes the appointment of Ramsay, Burgess believes that he should take some portion of blame over how the club finds itself in such a bleak position.
"I'd agree that it's time for Andrew Nestor to leave," he told FLW.
"It seems that with the news first coming from John Percy, it was probably a 'leak' coming from his side, where he was trying to distance himself from the Ramsay appointment, from my perspective, to 'save face'.
"Ramsay's revealed he was always a contender in the summer, and that came up again this winter. Clearly, he was someone who was fancied by Nestor at various points.
"I think that he's done a very poor job with squad building," Burgess claimed.
"You look at the summer. He tried to point out the club was going through a rough period with PSR, having to sell young players - Fellows, Heggem and Caleb Taylor.
"But, I think where that money's been reinvested has been done so very poorly. Our right side was left annihilated. Fellows departed, Jed Wallace got injured, leaving Samuel Iling-Junior (who is set to see his loan cut short) as the preferred choice to come in and act as Fellows' replacement, which clearly hasn't gone well.
"Darnell Furlong leaving at right-back as well. George Campbell has since been asked to perform as a 'makeshift' right-back over Alfie Gilchrist, who's not been able to make any sort of notable impression or gain any notable minutes," he added.
"Then there's Tammer Bany, who's spent the best part of nine months out injured after we spent £3.3m, supposedly, to help bridge some of the creativity lost through Fellows' exit.
"Personally, I think it's the best decision for all parties that Nestor is moved on."

It is clear that Nestor has been heavily criticised for his performance in two critical boardroom roles, despite the fact Albion's position in terms of finances and restructuring has been far from ideal since he arrived.
It has since been reported by Simon Jones of the Daily Mail that West Brom are already eyeing up his successor in the form of previous Liverpool analyst, Dominic Price.
Price has been working with Maccabi Tel Aviv as the club's technical director since the summer of 2023, when he moved to the Israeli side alongside Robbie Keane.
