Köln will hold further talks with Said El Mala, with president Jörn Stobbe saying the club will make him an offer to stay.
“Of course, we will make him an offer with our support network – not just financial, but also in other areas,” he told L'Immo.

“He has a long-term contract. We'd be crazy to let such a great player leave prematurely,” the club chief acknowledged.
Geissblog reports that Köln are not dependent on a sale this summer.
El Mala is contracted to the Bundesliga club until 2030 and has no release clause.
Brighton & Hove Albion and Chelsea are pursuing a transfer. Köln are demanding around €50 million. The left winger has 11 goals and four assists this season.
