Not just Matias Soulé. In the race for capital gains that Roma must complete by June 30th, Manu Koné’s name could also be heavily involved.

Journalist Attilio Malena launched the rumor during an interview with Retesport.

According to reports, significant news has emerged in the last few hours regarding the future of the French midfielder, one of the Giallorossi’s most highly regarded players.

While the situation for Soulé is still at a low point, with no concrete steps being taken by interested clubs, the situation regarding Koné could evolve rapidly.

The player’s agents have reportedly communicated to the Roma management the possibility of submitting an offer of between 35 and 40 million euros by June 30th.

This figure would allow Roma to get significantly closer to the financial targets required at this stage of the transfer market and could change the club’s strategy in the coming weeks. Furthermore, according to Malena, the interested club is neither Arsenal nor Inter, clubs linked with Koné in recent months, but another European club whose name has not yet been disclosed.

This is a scenario worth monitoring very carefully. Until now, the French midfielder wasn’t considered the main candidate for sale, especially since Gian Piero Gasperini considers him one of the most important elements of the future Roma team.

However, given the lack of offers for other players and the need to settle the accounts by the end of the month, the assessments could inevitably change.
