Led by an attacking trio of Marco Reus, Gabriel Pec and Joseph Painstil, LA Galaxy scored nine combined goals in just two matches. Striker Matheus Nascimento has contributed to the offense with three goals and an assist.

The Sounders are riding high in Leagues Cup play as the only team to win its three Phase One matches in regulation, scoring 11 goals in the process.

The Seattle offense was contained in the Quarterfinals in a scoreless draw in regulation against Liga MX side Club Puebla. Goalkeeper Andrew Thomas played the hero in the penalty shootout with a pair of saves to help the MLS side advance.

The two clubs are familiar with each other, facing off in league play where the Sounders blanked the Galaxy 4-nil on August 10 in California. They also met in the semifinals of the 2024 MLS Cup Playoffs, as the Galaxy prevailed 1-nil en route to its sixth league title.

The winner of this match will secure a berth to the 2026 Concacaf Champions Cup and the Leagues Cup Final on Sunday.
