La Liga rivals want to sign Barcelona youngster in January | OneFootball

An up-and-coming member of the attacking ranks at Barcelona has emerged as a January transfer target on the part of La Liga rivals Celta Vigo.

That’s according to Estadio Deportivo, who point towards Dani Rodríguez as the player in question.

The name of winger Dani will likely be a familiar one to those of a Barcelona persuasion.

This comes after the 20-year-old broke into the first-team picture at the club last season.

Dani was even handed a starting berth in a La Liga fixture against Real Valladolid.

After his progress was halted by an untimely shoulder injury, though, the youngster was heavily linked with a Blaugrana exit over the summer.

And if the latest word stemming from the media this weekend is anything to go by, then interest in Dani’s services remains strong across the La Liga landscape.

As per a report from Estadio Deportivo, Celta Vigo are eyeing a winter deal for the talented Spaniard.

Manager Claudio Giráldez has gone as far as to make first contact with the player, in an attempt to beat out the competition for his signature.

Barcelona, meanwhile, have not ruled out a sale, aware that Dani will likely find game time difficult to come by at senior level this season.

Deco and co. are seeking a fee in the region of €4 million to sanction a transfer.
