Real Sociedad star Álex Remiro was this week drawn on the ongoing speculation linking him with a move to La Liga rivals Barcelona.
And the shot-stopper did not definitively rule out a potential Camp Nou switch.
Goalkeeper Remiro’s name has emerged as a prominent one in the Spanish media headlines over the course of the last week.
This comes amid the understanding that the brass at Barcelona have earmarked the 30-year-old as a possible summer signing.
On the lookout for backup to and competition for no.1 Joan García, Deco and co. consider Remiro the ideal profile.
The Spanish international’s contract terms at Real Sociedad are due to expire next year, meaning he could be available for a cut-price fee in the summer.
Speaking during an interview with La Sexta, as cited by Mundo Deportivo, this week, Remiro was therefore drawn on the recent speculation surrounding his name.
And the talented goalkeeper, notably, concluded his response with ‘you never know’:
“I’m completely focused on Real Sociedad. I’m very comfortable, very happy. Obviously, I’ve heard about it because of the buzz on social media. I don’t know anything, I haven’t spoken about it at all. Being able to play and win the final, being able to experience that with our fans… I haven’t stopped to think about anything else. You never know.”
