Torino have put Luka Jovic in their sights and this could work in AC Milan’s favour as they look to win the race for Samuele Ricci, a report claims.
La Stampa (via MilanNews) reports this morning that Torino are having an ’emergency’ in their forward department. The Granata’s season started brilliantly as they found themselves up at the top end of the table, but Duvan Zapata’s knee injury saw the wheels fall off.
Antonio Sanabria is the starter at the moment and Che Adams is his back-up but he too, due to some physical discomfort, has not managed to be available consistently. To strengthen the department, Il Toro are ready to pick up the phone and call Milan.
The paper claims that their sporting director Davide Vagnati is interested in signing Jovic from the Rossoneri. The Serbian striker has practically never played this season and clearly seems out of Paulo Fonseca’s plans, despite there also being some problems related to lower back pain.
The negotiation could take shape as January approaches and Milan would like to take advantage of their interest to obtain a right of first refusal on Samuele Ricci. The Italy international has many suitors, and the Diavolo directors want to secure any kind of advantage they can.
