FC Barcelona still have 3 matches left to play before their 2025-26 season would be officially over, but for now, the hearts and minds of the players are concerned mainly with celebrating the La Liga title that they mathematically wrapped up back on Sunday.
As a part of these celebrations, the team also undertook a victory parade in the city of Barcelona, with the players getting to enjoy their big moment with the fans.
During these celebrations, the Blaugranes’ bitter rivals, Real Madrid, have also featured to some extent. In this regard, Mundo Deportivo reports how two players, Lamine Yamal and Fermin Lopez, showed their contempt for the white club during the parade.
The players got several objects from the fans during this parade, and among the objects that the Spanish winger received was also a Blaugrana jersey with the text: “Thank God I ‘m not a Madridista.” After showing it to Joao Cancelo, Yamal waved it in the air and danced with it, causing a stir on social media.
Meanwhile, Fermin Lopez also received a scar with “anti-madridista” written on it. The midfielder showed it to the fans and then wrapped it around his neck.
Both these events show the extent to which Real Madrid forms a part of the FC Barcelona identity, and this aspect is not expected to subside any time soon.
