Coventry City have rewarded Frank Lampard with a new long-term contract, with the head coach committing his future to the club until 2029.
The 48-year-old has overseen a remarkable transformation since arriving in November 2024, taking the Sky Blues from the lower reaches of the Championship to the Premier League in less than two years.
Lampard inherited a side sitting 17th in the table and guided Coventry into the play-offs during his first season, narrowly missing out on promotion. He then built on that progress by leading the club to the Championship title last term, securing a return to the top flight for the first time in 25 years.
The former Chelsea and England midfielder had been linked with several managerial vacancies during the summer, including reported interest from Fulham and Crystal Palace, but has now pledged his long-term future to Coventry.
Since taking charge, Lampard has won 45 of his 82 matches in all competitions, overseeing the most successful spell in the club's recent history.
