Gianluca Di Marzio reports that Lazio have offered Inter a loan with an obligation to buy Davide Frattesi for €30 million, triggered by certain sporting achievements, but the Serie A leaders rejected the bid.
The Rome club remain keen heading into deadline day of an eventful window. They have agreed to release Matias Vecino, who is closing in on a move to Celta Vigo.
Uncertainty also surrounds Reda Belahyane’s situation, with a potential return to Hellas Verona yet to be resolved. Maurizio Sarri would argue the squad lacks a quality option in midfield. He had insisted Matteo Guendouzi was not properly replaced despite Kenneth Taylor’s arrival from Ajax.
The 26-year-old has been unhappy with his lack of playing time under Christian Chivu. Nottingham Forest were said to be close to signing the Roman midfielder, but the move did not materialise.
Whether the final hours deliver movement on Frattesi remains to be seen. Lazio are also looking at two 20-year-old midfielders, Jens Hjertø-Dahl of Tromso and Stefan Dzodic of Almeria.
