Lazio face a fresh goalkeeping worry after Edoardo Motta left Italy Under-21 duty injured, with Ivan Provedel already out for the season.
According to Football Italia, the 21-year-old joined from Reggiana in January as a reserve and was handed his Serie A debut.
He has now departed the Under-21 camp with a new concern, and there has been no confirmation of the problem’s nature.
If he is not available for next weekend’s Serie A match against Parma, Lazio would have to look to third-choice Alessio Furlanetto, whose only experience is in Serie C.
Motta was released by the Azzurrini along with Frosinone striker Antonio Raimondo after the 4-0 win over North Macedonia.
They were replaced by Spezia goalkeeper Diego Mascardi and Juve Stabia forward Alvin Okoro, the latter stepping up from the Under-20s.
Italy’s Under-21s are back on Tuesday March 31 against Sweden in European Championship qualifiers.
