Lazio are working on a sale of Matteo Guendouzi to Atletico Madrid, then plan to move for Bologna’s Giovanni Fabbian. A deal to send Taty Castellanos to West Ham United is already agreed, and Guendouzi appears next to leave.

According to Il Messaggero, Fenerbahce have offered €25 million, but Lazio prefer a swap with Atletico for Giacomo Raspadori. Club intermediaries were in Madrid on Saturday to discuss terms.

The operation hinges on Raspadori’s decision, expected on Monday, and he could stay with the Colchoneros or accept Roma’s offer. Diego Simeone still wants Guendouzi, but Atletico must meet Claudio Lotito’s €30 million valuation.

If Guendouzi is offloaded, Lazio would immediately target Fabbian, who has been on Maurizio Sarri’s list since the summer. They are willing to offer €15 and could go higher, as U23 Italian signings are exempt from the Extended Labor Cost index.

Lazio are also interested in AC Milan’s Ruben Loftus-Cheek and Atalanta’s Lazar Samardzic, but the 22-year-old Bologna midfielder remains the priority.
