Arsenal and Paris Saint-Germain will head into the first leg next Tuesday with draws. However, one Gunner notes that the squad expects a different performance against the Parisians.

On Tuesday, the capital club had a one-goal lead thanks to a goal from Vitinha. However, that lead wasn’t enough as FC Nantes scored the game-tying goal late in the match to secure a point from the newly crowned Ligue 1 champions.

Meanwhile, Arsenal are coming off a 2-2 draw against Crystal Palace on Wednesday. Like PSG, the Premier League side had a one-goal lead but conceded a goal late to drop two points.

Following the draw against the Eagles, Arsenal forward Leandro Trossard told Sky Sports that he expects the team to play vastly differently than they did against Crystal Palace.

“It was just the basics sometimes,” Trossard said (h/t BBC). “Not passing on the right foot or taking a touch too much. It was myself as well, I just wasn’t good enough and we need to raise this in the next few days. It will be good to have six days now and prepare for this [PSG] game with 100% focus. It will be a difference performance.”

Both sides won’t be playing this weekend and will have rest to prepare for the crucial clash next week as they look to secure an advantage in the first 90 minutes.
