Leeds United are exploring the possibility of signing Chrisantus Uche from Getafe, according to The Athletic.
Although no official bid has been submitted, Uche is on the list of possible targets at Elland Road.
Leeds want to avoid an immediate return to the Championship and are actively looking to add fresh talent across various positions.
Manager Daniel Farke is keen on bringing in players who can strengthen the squad and offer flexibility.
Uche has attracted attention for his strong performances in La Liga last season. He has a £21.6 million release clause and is open to a move to the Premier League.
Serie A clubs are also monitoring the 22-year-old.
Uche joined Getafe last summer after leaving third-tier club Ceuta and signed a contract until 2028.
Despite it being his debut season at the top level, he played 33 times in the league, bagging four goals and six assists.
Uche has been used in several positions, including striker, winger and attacking midfielder.
His versatility is a major attraction, as he offers cover in multiple areas of the pitch when needed.
Uche is renowned for his energy, tactical awareness and physical strength. He wins aerial battles, plays accurate passes and can pop up with key goals when given the chance.
His ability to operate in midfield and further forward makes him a valuable asset for any club.
Leeds are also closing in on the signing of Newcastle midfielder Sean Longstaff, as they look to boost their options in midfield.
