Leeds United’s FA Cup odds have shortened after they reached the semi-finals for the first time in 39 years, edging West Ham on penalties and drawing Chelsea.

Daniel Farke’s side were 2-0 up in normal time before West Ham struck in the 93rd and 96th minutes during 11 minutes of stoppage time, forcing extra-time and penalties after a 2-2 draw. Joel Piroe missed the first kick of the shoot-out, but Leeds prevailed 4-2 to book Wembley.

In Sunday evening’s draw, Leeds had a one in three chance of landing Championship opposition Southampton, who had knocked out Arsenal. Manchester City instead drew Southampton, leaving Leeds to face historic rivals Chelsea on the final weekend of the month.

The draw could be viewed as neither ideal nor the worst outcome.

According to yorkshireeveningpost.co.uk, Manchester City are 1-2 favourites, cut from 3-4 after the draw. Chelsea are 11-4, trimmed from 3-1.

Leeds are 10-1, in from 14s and as short as 7s with some firms. Southampton are 22-1, eased from 20-1.
