Leeds United-linked goalkeeper Zion Suzuki is attracting serious Premier League attention, and increased competition is likely to see Parma’s asking price met.
Gazzetta dello Sport reports that several Premier League sides are keen on the 23-year-old, who Parma value at £26m.
Parma paid just over £8m two years ago, and the Japan international’s stock rose during the World Cup. He overcame a broken hand and an injury-hit campaign to generate fresh buzz with his displays.
Aston Villa have been linked since before the tournament and are seeking a new goalkeeper, while Leeds have also been mentioned, with reports suggesting they could team him with compatriot Ao Tanaka. Villa can also offer Champions League football. No other Premier League clubs have been named, though Manchester United are known to be looking, and Suzuki turned them down in 2023.
Leeds hope to agree that Karl Darlow will stay after his contract expired last month. Illan Meslier has departed this summer, and the Whites want to bolster their goalkeeping pool after signing Lucas Perri last year.
Suzuki has returned from the World Cup and, after a short break, is expected to push ahead with decisions on his future.
