Full-back Isaac Schmidt is leaving Leeds United to join Young Boys in a deal worth around £2m. The move ends his two-year stay at Elland Road.
According to yorkshireeveningpost.co.uk, the fee will cover the player’s book value, so Leeds will not record a loss. Confirmation is imminent as he joins today.

Schmidt arrived from FC St Gallen in 2024 in a £2.5m transfer.
He did not convince Daniel Farke that he could play full-back in the Championship title-winning side, and was mostly used as an attacker in brief cameos.
Last season he spent time on loan at Werder Bremen in the Bundesliga, but the stint did not lead to a permanent move.
The switch returns him to his native Switzerland.
