Leeds United’s 3-1 win over Nottingham Forest has triggered a major shift in bookmakers’ predicted final Premier League table and boosted their survival push.

According to yorkshireeveningpost.co.uk, Daniel Farke’s side went into Friday night fifth-bottom, level with Forest and six points above the relegation zone.

The fixture offered both clubs the chance to move clear of West Ham despite having played a game more, and Leeds seized it with a 3-1 success.

The result leaves Farke’s team nine points ahead of West Ham and three clear of Forest with the same number of games. West Ham visit second-bottom Burnley on Saturday in what is now their game in hand.

Leeds remain 16th but have joined Tottenham and Crystal Palace on 29 points, though both have played one fewer match. The table looks far healthier and has reshaped relegation odds and the new projected finish.

Using title prices for teams tipped to finish in the top half, the updated top-six projection reads: Arsenal 2-9, as short as 2-13 with some firms, ahead of Manchester City 11-2 and Manchester United 50-1. Aston Villa are 66-1, Liverpool 150-1 and Chelsea 175-1.
