Leeds United remain in pursuit of their number one goalkeeping target James Trafford and Champions League veteran Julian Brandt, with departures also moving forward.

Trafford, 23, is on his FIFA-mandated three-week break after England duty and is said to be leaning towards Elland Road. David Ornstein reports that Newcastle are no longer considering the Manchester City keeper, with Trafford’s preference appearing to be Leeds.

No agreement is in place with Manchester City, though talks between the clubs have been held. Other names, including Japan international Zion Suzuki, have featured in reports but Leeds were not in active pursuit, having waited on Trafford.

Leeds are hopeful Brandt will decide soon. His father Jurgen visited Thorp Arch last week for discussions and the German has been training at Bayer Leverkusen’s facilities while he weighs up options.

Jack Harrison looks likely to sign for New England Revolution in MLS. An undisclosed fee is expected, and removing his wages would provide a financial lift.
