Leeds United are exploring a summer transfer deal for Fulham attacker Harry Wilson, according to journalist and transfer insider Ben Jacobs.
Leeds manager Daniel Farke came very close to bringing Wilson to the Elland Road club last summer and remains an admirer.
The 29-year-old is a free agent at the end of this month and the Whites are looking to lure him to West Yorkshire, with talks ongoing.
Wilson bagged 10 league goals and seven assists in 36 league appearances last term and could be a huge addition to the Leeds attack.
The former Liverpool star was close to joining the Peacocks last summer, and they had a private jet on standby to transport the Fulham attacker to Yorkshire on summer transfer deadline day.
Leeds met his club’s quoted asking price but Fulham pulled the plug on the deal after they failed to get Chelsea forward Tyrique George as his replacement.
The Whites had tabled an improved offer to sign Wilson after the Craven Cottage club indicated that they wanted to renegotiate the terms.
An agreement was reached between all the parties involved, leading to a proposed Deal Sheet being signed by Leeds and Wilson.
However, Fulham made it clear to the Whites that the transfer was off a few minutes to the 7 pm deadline as they wanted to sign a replacement first before allowing him to leave.
Leeds will hope they are favourites to sign Wilson this summer but the likes of Aston Villa and Benfica are also keen on recruiting his services.
More suitors could also emerge in the coming weeks and Farke will hope to pip them to his services.
