Jack Harrison is closing in on a move to Fiorentina, a development that has reportedly prompted Leeds United to keep Wilfried Gnonto involved for the rest of the season.

“I think he’s still going to be part of their plans, especially now that it looks like Jack Harrison is leaving Leeds to go to Fiorentina,” he told Football Insider.

Harrison has made 13 appearances in all competitions this season, with three starts, and has not begun a Premier League match since the 2-0 defeat at Burnley in mid October. He was left out of the squad for Saturday’s late win over Fulham as the Serie A switch nears, which is expected to start as a loan with an option for a permanent move around £six million.

Leeds have already added Facundo Buonanotte on loan from Brighton and Hove Albion and remain in the market for further attacking options in the final weeks of January. Napoli winger Noa Lang has been linked after a testing first six months in Serie A following a summer move from PSV Eindhoven.

The Belgium international has 15 caps and has made nine starts in all competitions since joining in a deal worth just over £20 million.
