Leeds United have sent 20-year-old Connor Douglas to National League North side Buxton on loan for the rest of the season.
According to Leeds Live, the versatile youngster, who has operated across the front line, in midfield and at right-back, moves to gain senior minutes as the club expect activity in January. They may add or let fringe players leave on loan or permanent deals if suitable offers arrive and align with PSR considerations.
Douglas has made 14 appearances for Scott Gardner’s under-21s this season, featuring in Premier League 2, the EFL Trophy, the National League Cup and the Premier League International Cup.
He will now seek first-team experience at Buxton and could debut this afternoon against Macclesfield Town.
Buxton sit in the lower half of the table. They are battling to move clear of any relegation threat, with the play-off places six points away in a highly competitive division.
