Max Wober finally made his Bundesliga bow for Werder Bremen on Sunday, coming on for 25 minutes against Stuttgart with four games of the season remaining.

The Austrian international had missed the entire 2025/26 league campaign until then because of two injuries, first a hamstring lay-off of 14 matches, then another 14 out. He marked the moment on social media, saying he had waited a long time for it.

Bremen sit 12th in the 18-team top flight, with fixtures still to come against Freiburg, Bayern Munich and St Pauli.

Wober joined Leeds in January 2023 on a four-and-a-half-year deal to summer 2027. He activated a loan clause after relegation and spent 2023/24 at Borussia Mönchengladbach. Back at Elland Road last season, two knee operations limited him to eight league outings, two as starts, and he has 28 Leeds appearances in total.

Elsewhere, Mateo Joseph’s loan at Mallorca is over after an ACL injury. Before that setback he started 19 league games and came on 10 times, scoring twice and providing four assists for relegation-threatened Mallorca. They have five to play and sit one point and one place above the drop zone.

At Valencia, Largie Ramazani has only just nailed down a starting role. Without a start before mid February, he has since begun 10 straight matches, scoring five goals, four of them in wins, keeping Valencia five points clear of danger.
