Leeds United, 16th and seven points clear after going unbeaten in seven of their last eight Premier League matches, are exploring January additions, with an approach for Jorgen Strand Larsen among the options. Daniel Farke may also sanction exits for players short of minutes.
David Ornstein reports that Leeds have made an enquiry for the Wolves striker, though no formal offer has been lodged.
Leeds face competition from Tottenham, Newcastle and Nottingham Forest, while PSR compliance remains a factor. Strand Larsen is under contract until 2030 with an extra-year option, and is valued at around £60m.
Leeds and Sunderland interest in Sevilla’s Ruben Vargas could cool after the winger returned at the weekend for the first time since November from a hamstring issue, then suffered a fresh problem in the 1-0 loss to Celta Vigo. His club said it affected the left femoral biceps and could rule him out for two months. Leeds may prioritise signings who can make an immediate impact.
AreaNapoli claims Leeds have made contact over Noa Lang. The Dutchman has made 17 Serie A appearances this season after joining Napoli in the summer, having impressed with PSV last term with 14 goals and 12 assists. Monaco and Wolfsburg have also enquired, and reported wages of €2.5m could prove a stumbling block under PSR.
