The agent of one of Leeds United’s stars has insisted the club simply must return to the Premier League due to their size.
The Whites lost a host of important players in the summer transfer window after they failed to win promotion as the likes of Georginio Rutter, Crycensio Summerville and Archie Gray left the club for top-flight outfits.
The Championship outfit also managed to bring a number of new names through the door including Ao Tanaka, Jayden Bogle, Largie Ramazani and Isaac Schmidt.
Schmidt joined the Whites from St. Gallen on a four-year deal and his agent Steven Lang admitted that the Swiss left-back’s opportunity to come to England was a fantastic opportunity.
Lang insists that Leeds United’s ambitions matched his client’s, but stressed the Whites must get back to the Premier League.
“For us, it was clear that joining Leeds and moving to England was a great opportunity for Isaac”, Lang told LeedsLive about Isaac coming to Elland Road.
“The project perfectly matched what we were looking for so we didn’t hesitate.
“It’s the fact that such a great club must return to the Premier League.”
Even though the former Swiss youth international is primarily a left-back, he can play in a number of different positions if needed.
Isaac will look to play a part in Leeds United’s promotional charge this season and he will be hoping to make his debut this weekend against Cardiff City.
