Leeds United wrap up their American tour against Liverpool in Chicago on Sunday. We think Daniel Farke could stick with his reshaped backline, while a late call on Brenden Aaronson and the recently returned Dominic Calvert-Lewin remains possible.

According to yorkshireeveningpost.co.uk, Tarik Muharemovic made his £34m debut in central defence against Sunderland as Farke rotated, with Sebastiaan Bornauw also starting and Joe Rodon captaining while Ethan Ampadu was benched. Jaka Bijol had taken a knee knock.

Anton Stach also dropped to the bench, with Ao Tanaka partnering Sean Lonsgstaff in midfield. Jayden Bogle and Gabi Gudmundsson operated out wide.

Gudmundsson became the latest of Leeds’ World Cup contingent to feature, leaving only Aaronson and Noah Okafor yet to appear. Okafor was granted extended leave after Switzerland reached the quarter-finals and was not due to feature in America.

Sunday could offer Aaronson and perhaps no 9 Calvert-Lewin a chance, the striker having resumed training on Tuesday after a small setback. Both missed the Sunderland game, when Lukas Nmecha led the line with Joel Piroe on the bench, supported by summer signing Harry Wilson and youngster Callum Mills.

For Liverpool, we think Farke keeps a back three after that clean sheet, with Rodon, Muharemovic and James Justin in central defence. Bogle takes the right side, Gudmundsson the left, and Alex Cairns remains in goal.
