Leeds will seek their first pre-season win against Premier League rivals Sunderland in New Jersey at the Sports Illustrated Stadium tomorrow night. According to yorkshireeveningpost.co.uk, the piece sets out a predicted Leeds United XI amid selection calls and possible debuts.

Daniel Farke’s side were beaten 3-2 by Wrexham last weekend. Joel Piroe and Sean Longstaff scored for a much-changed team missing several key players.

The available group could look different as World Cup breaks finish and new signings settle. Jaka Bijol, Sebastiaan Bornauw and Dominic Calvert-Lewin are injury concerns after sitting out Wrexham.

In goal, Alex Cairns could start, with James Trafford’s move to Leeds and Lucas Perri’s proposed switch to Torino shaping availability. Rory Mahady might be handed a chance, but Cairns appears the sensible pick.

James Justin got useful minutes against Wrexham and may again fill in at centre-back. Joe Rodon was below his best but played 90 minutes and could do so again.

Nineteen-year-old Alfie Cresswell may be trusted from the off, with no need to rush Bornauw or Bijol. Tarik Muharemovic could feature if ready, and a first start is on the cards for Harry Wilson.

Jayden Bogle should be close to starting after a half-time outing against Wrexham, and could sit deeper if Farke opts for a back four.
