Leeds United set Elland Road friendly with RB Leipzig as West Stand closed | OneFootball

According to yorkshireeveningpost.co.uk, Leeds United have confirmed RB Leipzig will visit Elland Road on Saturday, 8 August, at two pm. The West Stand will be shut for both games because of ongoing redevelopment.

The Bundesliga club provide the first of two home friendlies, with a second fixture planned for the following weekend and details to come.

Leeds will also play Stateside this summer, facing Sunderland, Wrexham and Liverpool, before a late-summer trip to Dublin to meet bitter rivals Manchester United.

Leipzig finished third in the 2025/26 Bundesliga campaign, which secured UEFA Champions League qualification.

The fixture brings back a familiar name for Leeds fans, with the clubs having been embroiled in a legal dispute following the ill-fated transfer of Jean-Kevin Augustin.
