Leeds United have drawn a line under their pursuit of Shea Charles, setting out their stance to Southampton.

Leeds had already seen two bids rejected earlier in the window after identifying the Northern Ireland midfielder for Daniel Farke's Premier League plans. Crystal Palace and Fulham have also been linked with the midfielder.

Saints are thought to be seeking up to £30m for the 23-year-old, who started 21 Championship games last season. He has already made more than 100 appearances in the second tier.

Charles has 35 caps for his country and scored against Arsenal and Liverpool in last season's cup ties. He also netted in Southampton's play-off semi-final win over Middlesbrough.
