Leeds United’s relegation run-in has prompted a proposed strongest XI for the final seven matches.
They have 33 points from 31 games, four clear of the relegation zone and above West Ham, Nottingham Forest and Tottenham Hotspur. According to yorkshireeveningpost.co.uk, this line-up will solve the goalscoring issue and secure survival, and it notes recent officiating calls have not helped.
Daniel Farke’s side have failed to score in their last four league games, with Dominic Calvert-Lewin no longer as free-scoring as earlier in the season.
That could change after the break, with two returnees in Noah Okafor and Gabriel Gudmundsson.
In goal, Karl Darlow has steadied the ship since replacing Lucas Perri, producing fine saves and using the ball well to reassure his defence.
At the back, Joe Rodon’s minutes and athleticism suit covering in behind or stepping into a hybrid right-back role.
Jaka Bijol is the man for the battle, Leeds’ best box defender and a major set-piece threat.
Pascal Struijk thrives on the front foot in a back three and is key to building from the left.
At right wing-back, Jayden Bogle offers greater attacking quality than James Justin and can push high when Rodon moves wide.
