Leeds United have seven games to protect their Premier League status, with 33 points from 31, four clear of the relegation zone and above West Ham, Nottingham Forest and Tottenham Hotspur.
According to yorkshireeveningpost.co.uk, the strongest starting XI for the run-in has been set out. Goals have dried up, with no goals in the last four league matches. An incorrect dismissal and a failure to award a clear penalty have not helped.
That could change after the break, with Noah Okafor and Gabriel Gudmundsson returning. With those two available, the proposed XI is designed to restart the attack and secure survival.
In goal, Karl Darlow has steadied the ship since replacing Lucas Perri, producing excellent saves and offering calmer work on the ball that settles his defence.
Joe Rodon anchors the back line, having played more minutes than any teammate. His athleticism is vital, whether covering in behind or stepping into the hybrid right-back role used recently.
Jaka Bijol brings bite and is Leeds’ best box defender, while also posing a major set-piece threat. Pascal Struijk can defend on the front foot with two alongside and is key to building from the back as the only left-footed centre-back.
At right wing-back, Jayden Bogle edges James Justin for greater attacking punch out wide, and he is comfortable pushing into a right-wing role when Rodon moves across.
