Leeds United seek another step towards safety when they host relegated Burnley at Elland Road on Friday, having hit the 40-point mark with a 2-2 draw at Bournemouth last week.

According to yorkshireeveningpost.co.uk, Daniel Farke will be without at least two first-team players, with Ilia Gruev’s season curtailed last week and Gabriel Gudmundsson ruled out for at least the next two games with a hamstring issue.

There are concerns over two further key Leeds players, while Anton Stach has returned to bolster midfield options.

Burnley remain without Josh Cullen after ACL surgery in December, the captain still several months from returning. Jordan Beyer is also sidelined long term following a meniscus knee injury in October 2023 and a hamstring problem last summer. Connor Roberts, yet to feature this season due to an Achilles injury, remained unavailable last week.

Zeki Amdouni is back in training as he recovers from an ACL injury sustained in the summer and could feature before the season ends.

A return against Manchester City was deemed unlikely last week for Hannibal Mejbri, and involvement at Elland Road was considered a better possibility.

Axel Tuanzebe has been out since February with an Achilles problem, despite featuring for DR Congo during the March international break, and the exact issue and severity remain unclear.
