Lei do Ex? Sabino, Igor Vinícius and Schmidt reunite with old clubs in São Paulo v Santos clássico | OneFootball

Santos visit São Paulo at Morumbis on Saturday at 20:30 in the sixth round of the Paulistão, with potential 'lei do ex' storylines.

According to Diario Do Peixe, for Santos the ex-São Paulo links are João Schmidt, a club academy graduate, and Igor Vinícius, who also had a spell in Cotia.

Schmidt was born in the capital and made his senior debut in 2012. He spent five seasons with the Morumbi side, earned Brazil youth call-ups, then moved to Atalanta in 2017, totalling 70 appearances, two goals and three assists.

Igor Vinícius played for São Paulo from 2019 to last year, featuring in 214 matches with seven goals and 23 assists. He won the 2021 Paulistão and the 2023 Copa do Brasil.

For São Paulo, Sabino came through at Santos and returned to the Peixe in 2021, registering one goal in one match. His career also includes spells at Coritiba and Sport.
