Leicester City have agreed a deal to sign Divine Mukasa on loan from Manchester City.
Leicester City are set to sign highly-rated Manchester City prospect Divine Mukasa on loan for the rest of the 2025/26 season.
The Foxes have endured a torrid first season back in the Championship, as they sit in the lower mid-table region of the table, and are managerless having parted ways with Marti Cifuentes last week.
Despite this, Leicester are looking to strengthen their squad ahead of the second half of the campaign, and are now closing in on bringing the hugely exciting Mukasa to the club.
That's according to world-renowned football journalist Fabrizio Romano, who revealed via his X account that the 18-year-old will head to the Championship side, after a loan deal was agreed between the two clubs.
After a difficult start to 2026, this comes as some much-needed positive news for Leicester fans, as they are set to land one of the most exciting talents in City's famed academy.

Leicester's return to the Championship hasn't been anywhere near as easy as it was this time two years ago. The Foxes sit right in the thick of the mid-table chaos at the halfway point of the season, which is far from where they'd have hoped to be.
So far, the former FA Cup winners haven't made a single addition to their squad, and many supporters have been left fearing the prospect of a relegation battle should their struggles continue.
However, in a positive update, Romano revealed that Leicester have agreed a loan deal to bring Mukasa to the club for the rest of the season, as he looks to continue his development by playing consistent first team football.
The 18-year-old is one of the latest in a long line of exciting prospects to come through Man City's ranks, and has already made six senior appearances for the Cityzens, chipping in with two assists, and has appeared twice in the Premier League so far this season.
When he appeared in the EFL Cup against Huddersfield in September, Pep Guardiola labelled the teenage attacker a 'top player', and now he's set to let him go out on loan for the remainder of the season to the Championship.

Regardless of how miserable the campaign has been so far for Leicester, the news of Mukasa's imminent signing will be a hugely uplifting piece of news in what has been a desperately poor few weeks for the Foxes.
Whilst it's always risky taking a youngster with little experience on loan, you can't help but feel the teenager's pedigree coupled with his small taste of senior football will make him a strong signing for Leicester.
Man City will be keen to see their starlet thrive out on loan, and with more of their academy products beginning to break into the first team, Makasa will hope he can be the next if he succeeds at the King Power Stadium, and he may add a bit more creativity through the middle of the park instead of relying on Abdul Fatawu's brilliance from out wide.
