According to LeicesterMercury.co.uk, FA figures show Leicester City paid £5.9m in agent fees from February 2025 to February 2026, the third-highest total in the Championship.

That came despite only nine signings across the two windows, six of them loans and no transfer fees paid. Only Coventry made fewer additions in the same period.

Ipswich led the spending at £11.7m, with Southampton next on £8.4m. At the other end, Sheffield Wednesday, Blackburn, Portsmouth and Charlton each spent under £1m.

City’s outlay also covered deals beyond player recruitment, including appointing former manager Marti Cifuentes and assistant Xavi Calm. Fresh contracts were agreed with Luke Thomas, Bade Aluko, Louis Page and Jake Evans. Fees were also incurred on departures involving Wilfred Ndidi and Wout Faes.

In total, 33 transactions involved agents, a tally below the division’s average. Even so, the £5.9m marks a reduction on recent seasons, down from £9.8m last term and £8.1m in their previous Championship campaign.
