Leicester City set Seagrave and Burton friendlies as League One build-up begins | OneFootball

Leicester City have confirmed two pre-season friendlies, hosting Northampton Town at Seagrave before visiting Burton Albion, as their League One build-up gathers pace. LeicesterMercury.co.uk reports that the fixtures form part of City's summer schedule.

Northampton, relegated from the third tier, will play at the Seagrave Training Complex on Saturday 11 July, kick-off 12pm.

City then travel to the Pirelli Stadium to face Burton on Saturday 18 July, with a 1pm start.

The Foxes begin their 2026/27 preparations at the end of June and step up the work in July. Further details of the summer schedule are expected in due course.

The new campaign starts with the Carabao Cup first round across 7-9 August, followed by the league opener a week later on 14-16 August.

The confirmed games give supporters a chance to watch the side before competitive action and to gauge line-ups and ideas under whoever is manager.
