Leicester City sign Rangers midfielder McLoughlin on permanent deal | OneFootball

Leicester City have completed the signing of Rangers midfielder Olivia McLoughlin on a permanent deal.

WSL Full-Time were informed of the news via an official club press release from The Foxes this evening.

The 20-year-old midfielder returns to the English game after spending the last 18 months playing her football north of the border with Rangers. She has signed a three-year deal at The King Power Stadium.

The player started her senior career with Aston Villa while she also spent time with Birmingham City.

On the international stage, McLoughlin has represented England at various youth levels up to and including Under-23 level.

After joining Leicester City, McLoughlin said “I am really excited to be here, and this is definitely the right move for the next chapter of my career. The Club has big ambitions and achieving in the WSL this season is important for me.

“I pride myself on the defensive side of the game. I’ll bring a lot of energy and hard work. Hopefully the fans will see that from me. I am experienced in high-pressure moments, and I want to bring that to the team.”

McLoughlin is Leicester City’s third signing of Transfer Deadline Day.
