Gary Rowett has made three changes for Leicester City’s meeting with Bristol City at the King Power Stadium, including Harry Winks dropping to the bench. According to LeicesterMercury.co.uk, Jordan James starts his first game in two months alongside Oliver Skipp.
Winks had started the last five since Marti Cifuentes’ sacking. Jordan Ayew starts up front for the first time in seven matches, replacing Patson Daka despite the Zambian scoring at Ipswich on Saturday.
Hamza Choudhury also comes in, taking over from Ricardo Pereira at right-back and wearing the armband. Bobby De Cordova-Reid keeps his attacking midfield role, with Divine Mukasa on the bench.
Jamaal Lascelles is among the substitutes, with Caleb Okoli again partnering Ben Nelson in central defence. None of City’s four January signings start.
Goalkeeper Fran Vieites and winger Jeremy Monga return to the squad after injury ruled them out at Ipswich, with Harry French and Bade Aluko making way.
City 4-2-3-1: Stolarczyk in goal, a back four of Choudhury, Okoi, Nelson and Thomas, Skipp and James in midfield, Fatawu, De Cordova-Reid and Mavididi behind Ayew. Subs: Vieites, Lascelles, Ricardo, Winks, Aribo, Mukasa, Monga, Richards, Daka.
