Stephy Mavididi starts ahead of Jeremy Monga on Leicester City’s left at Coventry, as Marti Cifuentes makes two changes from the last league game.

LeicesterMercury.co.uk reports that Mavididi lost his place to Monga at West Brom but, after scoring and assisting in the FA Cup at Cheltenham, he returns with the Coventry-born teenager on the bench.

The other change brings Luke Thomas back at left-back, with Hamza Choudhury making way.

Ben Nelson and Caleb Okoli remain the centre-back pairing at the CBS Arena despite Jannik Vestergaard recovering from the ankle injury suffered at Cheltenham.

Boubakary Soumare is in the squad for the first time since late November after a knee problem, though he is only among the substitutes. The midfield trio of Oliver Skipp, Jordan James and Bobby De Cordova-Reid, ever-present in the league since the beginning of December, stays in place.

Abdul Fatawu starts on the right after he was rested for last weekend’s cup match, while Jordan Ayew is preferred to Patson Daka up front.

With Fatawu and Soumare back in the squad, there is no bench place for Wanya Marcal or Jake Evans.

City line up in a four-three-three with Stolarczyk in goal, a back four of Ricardo, Okoli, Nelson and Luke Thomas, a midfield of Skipp, James and De Cordova-Reid, and a front three of Fatawu, Ayew and Mavididi. Substitutes are Begovic, Vestergaard, Aluko, Choudhury, Soumare, Page, S Thomas, Monga and Daka.
