The Foxes have had a slow summer window in terms of incomings, as PSR issues have meant that there has been a focus on shifting players, with Mads Hermansen the headline departure so far.

It’s expected that Bilal El Khannouss will follow, with Crystal Palace set to sign the attacking midfielder, which would be a blow for new boss Marti Cifuentes.

Leicester City not pursuing transfer move for Ezekiel Alladoh

The 19-year-old is emerging as an exciting talent in Swedish football after joining Brommapojkarna last year, and he has scored five goals in 19 top-flight appearances this season.

But, in a fresh development revealed by Sportsbladet, as quoted by Sport Witness, it has been confirmed that Leicester are no longer in the running for his signature despite previously monitoring Allodah.

Instead, the update states that Club Brugge, Cercle Brugge and Westerlo are all looking to sign the attacker, and they are expected to make bids ahead of the deadline.

Leicester City could benefit from additions before summer transfer window deadline

It has been a mixed start to the season for Leicester, but it was always going to be a difficult period for the club given the uncertainty that surrounds the club due to their financial situation.

Following relegation, it was inevitable that players would move on, and that has proven to be the case, and whilst Cifuentes still has a lot of quality at his disposal, they would benefit from additions to help some of the talented youngsters that they have coming through the ranks.

Allodah was likely to be a signing for the future given his age and lack of experience, but he isn’t going to be joining now, so Leicester will have to look elsewhere.

So, it will be intriguing to see what business they can get done ahead of the deadline, and whether they leave Cifuentes with a squad that can realistically push for promotion, as they await to see if they will be hit with a points deduction.

Trying to retain the likes of Abdul Fatawu will be a priority, of course, but you do get the impression that further incomings are needed to help Leicester lay down their market as a sure-fire promotion contender alongside the likes of Birmingham City, Ipswich Town and Southampton.
