The Foxes are officially in the Premier League relegation zone. They managed to avoid the undesirable area for quite a while, but descended slowly. This was, obviously, due to poor form and adverse results. But that's not the worst of Leicester City's problems. Oh no! Sadly the promoted club can't buy a goal at present. City have now gone four consecutive games without scoring in all competitions.
The last time Ruud van Nistelrooy's men produced a finish was actually versus Manchester United. Bobby De Cordova-Reid was the Fox on the scoresheet in the FA Cup on February 7, to be precise. Funnily enough (or scarily) the east Midlands team face the Red Devils on Sunday night. The Dutchman will be hopeful of a return to scoring ways this weekend. He was an outstanding centre forward himself, of course.
LCFC boss van Nistelrooy has a long and storied history with the northern English side, as you'll know. So, ironically, some of the King Power club's Blue Army supporters believe a miracle could be realised. Maybe the former Netherlands player can use his intimate Old Trafford knowledge to Leicester's advantage whilst on Filbert Way. If City don't get any points against United, I'd say it's curtains for the current season. But how will the Leicestershire outfit line up for the upcoming Premier League fixture? We also forecast a potential MUFC starting XI.
With only Abdul Fatawu injured at this stage, van Nistelrooy has a welcomed team selection conundrum. He has an almost fully fit squad to choose from, and our prediction is below:
