According to a fresh report from Football FanCast ahead of Monday's 7PM transfer deadline, all of Leicester City, Birmingham City and West Bromwich Albion are interested in acquiring the 21-year-old, who Forest are hoping to send out on loan for the remainder of the 2025/26 season.

All three Midlands sides have endured extremely mixed seasons in the Championship thus far, with none of their current positions in the table truly aligning with the pre-season expectations set by outsiders.

Leicester are currently one of three sides in the second tier without a manager/head coach following the dismissal of Marti Cifuentes on January 25th, with the Foxes remaining in a precarious position largely due to fears of a points deduction.

Blues were expected to mount a sustained bid for the play-off places following their record-breaking season as League One champions, and they are currently on the periphery of the top six.

Meanwhile, West Brom are in serious danger of being relegated to League One for the first time in 33 years, with the newly-appointed Eric Ramsay yet to win a game in charge at The Hawthorns.

However, the 34-year-old has been able to strike three deals heading into the looming deadline, with the permanent acquisition of Max O'Leary being followed up by the loan captures of Danny Imray and Jamaldeen Jimoh-Aloba from Crystal Palace and Aston Villa respectively.

Albion were able to fend off competition from Leicester for the latter of those loans, and they will hope to do the same again as Forest decide the next step for McAdam when it comes to enhancing his personal development.

As per Football FanCast's aforementioned update, the trio of Midlands clubs are looking to strike an agreement for the services of Forest's highly-rated academy graduate, McAdam, who is yet to make a senior appearance at the City Ground.

Despite being a natural left-midfielder, the former England Under-16s international is also capable of featuring as a box-to-box midfielder or at full-back, with his versatility making him a useful outlet.

It has been claimed, though, that Leicester may hold the advantage in this particular transfer race, with McAdam being represented by the same agency as Foxes midfielder, Oliver Skipp, who signed for the club in the summer of 2024.

It has also been reported that Forest are keen on sending McAdam out on loan as they eye up a move of their own for a senior midfielder, having seen two bids rejected for Celtic ace, Arne Engels, whilst also being unsuccessful in an audacious pursuit of Middlesbrough star, Hayden Hackney.

All of McAdam's 15 senior appearances thus far have come for Mansfield Town in the first half of this season, before he was recalled on January 12th.

Beforehand, he represented Forest's Under-18s and Under-21s a combined 135 times, and helped the former of those reach the FA Youth Cup final in 2022.

Kyle McAdam would be an exciting future signing for Leicester, West Brom or Birmingham

After impressing with Mansfield, it is clear that Sean Dyche and his staff believe McAdam is capable of making the step-up into the Championship.

Whether any of these sides are to be successful ahead of the deadline - or beyond, depending on deal sheets - remains to be seen, but Birmingham have also freed up a loan spot on Deadline Day after announcing the permanent signing of Patrick Roberts from Sunderland, albeit they have also signed Ibrahim Osman on loan from Brighton, as well as another permanent capture for the highly-rated Carlos Vicente from Deportivo Alaves.

Therefore, despite not having a permanent boss in the dugout, Leicester could certainly fancy their chances of striking an agreement with their East Midlands rivals.
