The Ligue 1 match between Lens and PSG, originally set for 11 April, will now be played on Wednesday 13 May, leaving Lens idle for two weeks before a seven-match burst inside a month to close the season.

According to L'Équipe, the LFP board unanimously approved the postponement on Thursday. The sides are the top two, separated by one point, with Paris holding a game in hand. Lens had opposed the change of date.

Lens will not play between Lille on 4 April and Toulouse on 17 April. They then face three matches in eight days, Toulouse on 17 April, Toulouse again in the Coupe de France semi-final on 21 April, and Brest on 24 April. Four more follow in less than two weeks, Nice on 3 May, Nantes on 8 or 9 May, PSG on 13 May and Lyon on 16 May.

PSG’s run features Toulouse on 3 April, then Liverpool in the Champions League quarter-finals on 8 and 14 April. Lyon follow on 19 April before a rescheduled matchday 26 against Nantes on 22 April, then Angers on 25 April. Lorient on 3 May and Brest on 9 May come before Lens, then Paris FC on 16 May.

The rearranged Lens v PSG counts as matchday 29.
