Leo Messi made his 100th Inter Miami appearance on Saturday, becoming only the eighth player in the club’s history to reach the landmark.
The club marked the milestone in a statement. Since arriving in summer 2023, the captain has led a surge of silverware, lifting the 2023 Leagues Cup, the 2024 MLS Supporters’ Shield, the 2025 Eastern Conference title and the 2025 MLS Cup.
He claimed the 2025 MLS Golden Boot with 29 goals and 48 goal contributions, and was named Landon Donovan MLS Most Valuable Player in 2024 and 2025, the league’s first consecutive winner.
In 2025 he helped Inter Miami reach the FIFA Club World Cup round of 16, his free-kick sealing a 2-1 victory over FC Porto. That win delivered the first official victory by a Concacaf club against a European opponent, and the first Club World Cup match win by a team from the United States. Inter Miami also reached the 2025 Concacaf Champions Cup semi-finals, and Messi now leads the club for goals and assists, with 86 and 55 respectively across all competitions.
The 38-year-old from Rosario has 46 team trophies, including four UEFA Champions Leagues, three FIFA Club World Cups, 10 La Liga titles and Olympic gold, and he lifted the 2021 and 2024 Copa América plus the 2022 FIFA World Cup with Argentina. His personal honours include a record eight Ballon d’Ors and two FIFA World Cup Golden Balls.
