Tomorrow’s game against Charlton is doubly exciting for Chelsea fans.
It’s Liam Rosenior’s first game in charge of the team, and we’re really curious to see what his team looks like. But more pertinently in terms of the team selection, it’s an FA Cup 3rd round game against lower league opposition.
At this insanely busy time of the season, that means one thing – rotation and youngsters. We always love to get a look at the latest Cobham talents, and tomorrow will be the perfect chance.

NiiNii’s Tweet about Genesis Antwi.
It’s a first team of Rosenior’s thinking – how strong does he go? One player Chelsea fans are clamouring to see is Genesis Antwi. The flying wing back has been an academy star for a while, and has played twice off the bench for the first team in the Conference League last season.
We expect Josh Acheampong to start at centre back – he’s earned it with great showings in the first team this season. This is the perfect chance for him to gain some experience. But if he’s central and we want to rest Malo Gusto (who picked up a knock in midweek) and Reece James, Antwi is the right solution.
As NiiNii put it on Twitter: “if ever there was a time to use this kid, Charlton is the perfect game… let Antwi cook tomorrow!”
We couldn’t agree more.
While the new boss was taking his first Chelsea presser, there were rumours spreading about the club’s potential interest in a new central defender option.
Rosenior has only been in the job a few days, but he’s already taken a shine to one person on Chelsea’s books. He’s requested a change to his coaching staff upon his arrival at Stamford Bridge.
