FC Barcelona’s plans for the time after Robert Lewandowski are in full swing – and one name has emerged that has immediately triggered alarm bells in Munich: Harry Kane

According to transfer insider Rudy Galetti, the Catalans have already made concrete inquiries, including for the English superstar and world champion Lautaro Martínez from Inter Milan. But despite the rumours circulating, calm prevails at Säbener Straße at the moment. Kane himself is sending clear signals

Barcelona need a long-term successor to Robert Lewandowski, who is now 37 years old. According to Galetti, Kane is one of the players Barça are considering for this key role.

Galetti reports that the Catalans have already made initial inquiries to sound out the feasibility of such transfers. Kane’s name in particular is causing a stir – because despite his contract until 2027, there are persistent rumours that the Englishman has a €65 million release clause that could come into play in the summer. However, this would require Kane to inform FC Bayern of his desire to move in the winter.

But that does not seem to be on the table.

As The Athletic reports, the relationship between Harry Kane and those responsible at FC Bayern is „fantastic“. The striker enjoys the club’s trust, feels at home in Munich and, above all, thinks in sporting terms with a long-term perspective.

In an interview with BILD, the 32-year-old made it clear: „I haven’t been in contact with anyone, nobody has contacted me. I feel very comfortable in the current situation, even if we haven’t spoken to Bayern about my situation yet.“

He was even clearer when looking to the future: „It’s very unlikely that anything will change after this season.“ A statement that goes down like a declaration of love in Munich – and is likely to come across as a cold shower in Barcelona.

Bayern see no cause for concern

Uli Hoeneß recently confirmed that Kane does indeed have this clause. What is clear, however, is that the player himself is not thinking of leaving, on the contrary. According to The Athletic, Kane is even leaning towards an early extension.

The Munich bosses would welcome such a move. Kane is indispensable in sporting terms, shapes the team on and off the pitch and was last year’s transfer king who made the club more competitive internationally again.

For FC Barcelona, this means that the search for Lewandowski’s heir must continue, as Kane is not a realistic target.
