The 36-year-old is nearing the end of his Barcelona contract, which expires in June, opening the door to several possibilities.

MLS teams have stepped up contacts in recent weeks and there is real pressure to deliver a deal for this summer. The league’s growth, lighter physical demands and vast media reach are viewed as attractive, and the striker is understood to be open to a move to the United States.

MLS regards the Poland forward as a strategic addition to sustain its global rise, following headline arrivals such as Messi, Suárez and Busquets, with a clear sporting and commercial fit.

Saudi Arabia has also put forward significant proposals, with the Saudi Pro League continuing to pursue established European names. A final European challenge is not ruled out either, and even retirement at season’s end remains a possibility, with no specific clubs emerging so far.

Lewandowski’s output has dipped slightly from its peak, yet he remains a key reference for Barcelona. He has played 23 matches this season, scoring 11 goals and providing one assist, figures that underline why major leagues and projects are circling.
