Liga Portugal to coordinate seven simultaneous kick-offs as Benfica host Braga | OneFootball

Liga Portugal will coordinate simultaneous starts and restarts for seven Liga Portugal Betclic matches on Monday, 11 May. The plan covers Benfica v Braga and follows article 44 of the Competition Regulations.

According to Glorioso 1904, a league team based at the Arena Liga Portugal will manage all kick-off signals in constant contact with delegates at each stadium. The same model was applied in Liga Portugal Meu Super matches last Saturday.

The seven concurrent games involve all clubs with targets still live across the final two rounds of the season.

João Pinheiro will referee Benfica v Braga. His appointment comes a day after he was at the centre of controversy in Bayern Munich v PSG, the Champions League semi-final second leg that drew strong criticism of Portuguese officiating.

Benfica face Carlos Vicens’s side in the penultimate and 33rd round, with kick-off at 20:15 at Estádio da Luz.
