Six African nations in the Ligue 1 Top 10

Six African countries feature in the Top 10 for most goals scored since the 1948/49 season, according to data from the specialist site “Transfermarkt”.
This statistic once again highlights the immense impact African players have had in theFrench Ligue 1 throughout history.
Behind the Top 3—France leading with 49,099 goals and 3,178 different scorers, followed by Argentina (2,849, 183) and Brazil (1,958, 178)—Algeria sits in fourth place, boasting 1,899 goals from 126 unique scorers.
Senegal takes fifth, Ivory Coast sixth, Morocco seventh, Cameroon eighth, while Mali rounds off the Top 10, just behind ninth-placed Serbia.
